Poetry: Final Week!

National Poetry Month Project

Remember: Only FOUR poems will be required this week.

By the end of the month, you should have posted a total of 30 poems (for an average of one per day).

Please make comments! Feedback is always helpful.

A good idea: Scan for someone's work that you haven't read yet and leave them a comment.

POETRY PRESENTATION DUE: MONDAY, MAY 4.

Each student will present their best/favorite poem to the class. You can create a YouTube video*, a dramatic audio recording, or read it aloud in class. For DE's, if you do not have the ability to do a shareable video or audio recording, you may send the poem to me, and I will read it for you. This last option is a last resort because you will not experience the public speaking portion of the assignment.

*Please set all YouTube videos that you create for class to "Unlisted" and share the link with me via email. Doing so will ensure your privacy on the internet.

Be prepared to present your poem in whichever form you choose on Monday, May 4, 2015.

This assignment will be worth 100 points total:
60 points for the poems (2 points per poem)
40 points for the presentation.

For any students who would like a prompt for the week, I will include a photograph each week to set a theme for you. It is NOT required that you use the photo prompt; it is merely a tool for anyone suffering from writer's block.
