Poetry: Week 3

National Poetry Month Project

After the first week:
1. A blog post will open up each Monday instead of every single day.
2. Super posts must include seven poems representing the seven days included in one week.
3. By the end of the month, you should have posted a total of 30 poems (for an average of one per day).

What will be the same as the Slice of Life Story Challenge:

Building on our classroom community that we have developed, comments are encouraged. Remember to be encouraging, sharing, and positive. Any negativity will be deleted and participation points will be taken away.

At the end of National Poetry Month:

Each student will present their best/favorite poem to the class. You can create a YouTube video*, a dramatic audio recording, or read it aloud in class. For DE's, if you do not have the ability to do a shareable video or audio recording, you may send the poem to me, and I will read it for you. This last option is a last resort because you will not experience the public speaking portion of the assignment.

*Please set all YouTube videos that you create for class to "Unlisted" and share the link with me via email. Doing so will ensure your privacy on the internet.

Be prepared to present your poem in whichever form you choose on Monday, May 4, 2015.

This assignment will be worth 100 points total:
60 points for the poems (2 points per poem)
40 points for the presentation.

  1. my poems-

    1.Sleep, oh wonderful sleep
    How much I love you
    Always there for me
At the end of the day
    Always there for me
When I need to hit the hay

    2.You can't forget the past
But you can still change the future

    3.Wherever you go
    Wherever you are
There will always be things that bring you down
    But wherever you go
    Wherever you are
There are always things to bring you up.

    4. Don't forget to smile
    Don't forget to be kind
Because there is always someone watching
    Thats is counting on you

    5. There is no path that is easy
    No path that is right
You have to find the path for you
And follow it into the light

    6.Best friends don't judge
    Best friends listen
    They'll pick you up
    And help you carry on

    7.Trust is so fragile
It can take years to earn
    And seconds to lose

  2. 1.
    Flying birds are amazing,
All sleek and strong and fast,
    Like a living airplane.
    Cliffs house the peregrine’s nest,
    On a rocky perch,
    Never missing its prey.

    2.
There was a big pirate ship,
Captain had a big fake peg hip.
    A cannon went BOOM!
    “We’re off to our doom!”
Said the kids on their play pirate ship.

    3.
I am a solid, you can’t touch me,
But I can shine upon your knee.
A cutting edge I can cast,
    And go really really fast.
    Without me, you can’t live,
    I have energy to give.
Kitty paws, on me go BAM!
Can you guess what I am?
    Light

    4.
If you want to get to me, before eternity,
Count by powers of ten—you see.
Of circles, I have plenty, lines not so much,
Life is kind of boring, so big and huge and such.
I’m not used in many equations,
But my company’s a huge sensation.
I am really hard to write, sigh,
But I’ll let you guess, what am I?
    10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
    (or ten-duo-triga-tillion)
    (or just a google)

    5.
    I am a common house-hold tool,
And with me you can make stuff cool.
Moving blades I have on front,
My butt end, though, is rather blunt.
    I am paper’s adversary,
    Kindergarten uses me.
“Crafts and tools” is where I go,
Cutting things is what I know.
So come on, guess, before we withers,
If you guessed right, you should say Scissors!

    6.
Every year, we watch it twice,
    General conference, it’s real nice.
We get to hear the prophet’s word,
Listen and make sure you’ve heard.
    After it’s in the ensign,
Read and read and you’ll be fine.
If we follow through the year,
The spirit will help others hear.

    7.
We have a father up in heaven,
His kids, a billion times eleven.
How he knows us all, don’t know,
But he helps us as we go.
He loves and knows each one of us,
Trials help, but we just fuss.
Prophet tells us, “go help out.”
One thing to do is be a scout.
    General conference helps us learn,
So we can win when it’s our turn.

    _______ are like rocks.
    No two are the same,

    So we like them anyway.

    Woman-to-Man Translator:
    Yes: No,
    No: Go away,
Come here: We have to talk.
    I know: shut up,
    It’s fine: it’s not,
    You’re great: the friend-zone talk.

    Man-to-Woman Translator:
    Hey: hello,
    Nice shoes: nice face,

    Just south of summer,
    Is the land that I love;
    The weather is warm,
    But not hot.

    It’s nice be it rainclouds,
    Or sun up above,
    Except that I’m
    Sneezing a lot.

Courage is standing when you think you’re alone.
When you know it’ll hurt, you’re brave because you know it is right.
If the world tells you to move but you stand for truth,
As you’re shoved in the mud,
    That’s strength.

    7
    When calamity comes,
    And the days destroy,
    Know that you are strong.
    Along the path to greatness,
    There are many small choices.
    They determine your destiny.
    Who you are,
    And what you are.
And I know you are great.
The days of darkness will come,
    But you may make
    The mountains shake.
In that day you will be strong,
And I will be with you.

The oceans whirl Under his finger
The winds howl Under his breath

    A dash of green

    A stroke of brown
    A shade of black

    A wisp of white
    A brush of blue

    And now I’ve made
    A tree for you

    An apple tree
    On a clear, bright day

    An apple orchard
    With the colors singing praise

    3. What am I?
    I snow and freeze
    But deal no breeze
And water will certainly kill me

    I change all day
    Whatever you may
But only if someone uses me

    I’m not alive
    And I’m filled with lies
But still people listen to me

    Inside I stay
    I stand, not lay
    And see you certainly daily

    I am what you see
    I make you be
Idle in front of my panel

    4. Everything has beauty all around
Everything has skies upon the ground
Everything gives place for what is true
Everything is here for me and you

Anything can turn the night to day
Anything can help you find your way
Everything is waiting for your cue
Everything’s in shades of purple and blue

Anything can be your wildest dream
Anything can make your smile beam
Anything can lift you when you cry
From the ground to clouds up in the sky

There are things you hope you never lose
There are things that make you have to choose
There are things that leave you out of sight
Even though you try with all your might

    Everything has beauty all around
Everything has skies upon the ground
Everything gives place for what is true
Everything is here for me and you

    5. Only yesterday had life begun
It’s weird how quickly it flies
At times we think it never would stop
But here we are looking back from the top
As if it was only imagination

Soon tomorrow will be upon us
It’s weird how distant it seems
Although we think it never will come
It has already happened to the Elder some
As if they were born in their age

    Today is happening now
Its weird what little is used
We would think its advantage would be used more
But it’s as if our feelings to the present is sore
As if we don’t care for time we are given

But time is of the essence
    So tangible it appears
Every second that passes us by
Can never come back despite what we try
Which is why it is most precious to all

    6. I saw it all begin to unfold,
A horror I leave to be untold
The feelings of warmth were replaced with cold
For my Fear was standing before me

But although my life was not held by bands
My sword I clenched between my hands
And struck them down to writhe in the sands
For my Hope was standing with me

    7. Pencils, Papers

To math class I must go

    With homework assigned
    And teachers so kind
To math class I must go

    With all that I learn
    With much I do yearn
To math class I must go

    Despite all the facts
From the min. to the max
To math class I will go.

  7. My Super Poetry Post:

    1. Piano music is amazing,
The music is so fun to play,
    I have it memorized today,
There is no need for music stands,

    But…

If I forget to lift the pedal,
    The paintbrush never gets clean,
And then there’s a mixture of yellow and blue,
When there wasn’t supposed to be green!

    Ugly and muddled,
    Upset and befuddled,
I start it all over again,

    And now I know,
    Without a doubt,
There is a need for different colors.

    2. Porcupine, oh porcupine,
    Why aren’t you called a porky-pine?

    Like…

Pigs who live up in the pine-trees!
Or a pine that’s growing pigs instead of leaves!
Or… Oops, I better make like a tree and leaves…
    Isn’t imagination awesome?

    Such a big word
    Such a big word!

    4. We are in a game of life,
Waiting for our turn to move,
    The die is rolled,
    You roll a two,
Two steps forward, one step back,
We go until the timer’s up,
    And then we stay,
    No time for play,
As we wait for the judgment day.

    5. The room is loud and bustling,
    The people talk and chatter,
There is no cause for shushing,

For when I walk into the room,
The crowd grows hushed in seconds,
And I walk down those fancy stairs,
    Glass slippers make soft echoing,

The prince goes up to greet me,
    I curtsy as he stares,
And then we waltz into the night,
    Oh what a lovely pair!

    6. One, two, three, one, two, three,
The beat is running through my head
One, two, three, one, two, three,
I could dance until I’m dead,
One, two, three, one, two, three,
I feel my feet fly across the floor,
One, two, three, one, two, three,
‘Round the dance floor and out the door.

    7. Purple poka-dotted panther princess,
    Six, sick, slick, slimy sticks,
    Wonderful, winter, winey, wallaby,

  8. 1.Day and night Sun bright like light Moon as dark as night, when the sun goes down and the night comes around we prey we eat we hunt we sleep .

    2. The balloon drifted through the starry night. Gazing at all the city lights below, lighting up the street. And when that balloon looks in to that starry night and sees all those brilliant lights he thinks what its like to be on the ground and to run around.

    3. they're big they're fast with a mane like grass they come out at night to hunt, prey, and fight they run through the night silent and as fast as light, with a roar so loud that it would make you quiver and bow before before the king of the beasts

    4. Sometimes kids think its okay to call names not knowing the effect it would have on the kid's brain not knowing that kid fights depression and wants to live and breath just like you and me but it's hard to live when all those kids are calling you names and telling you things that would make you go insane and that kids starts to blame himself for not having fame like the kids who walk the halls and he feels alone and afraid and he's full of shame and when he gets home and kneels and prays to God to help him through all this pain and when he's done he stands up feeling no shame or pain and not needing fame and he's feeling no blame, he smiles and before he goes to rest he mumbles under his breath I'm not afraid of pain.

    5. She watches the waves crash against the shore and the seagulls fly above the hot, sandy ground. Why does the sun let the moon come out every night? Why doesn't he just keep shining? I suppose people are right when they say nothing lasts forever. Even the sun needs a break.

    6. The raindrops creep slowly down the rain gutter after the big storm. A rainbow comes out and the grass starts to dry again everything is back to the way it started.

    a sizzle
    a red flamed top

    burning ashes
    collecting wood
    hand close by
    as I stood

    a metal spear
    sticking through plush
a fiery fortress you wait it through
    falling, burning, folding into mush

    Hershey's chocolate melting
    loving family delight
    Gram crackers crunching
    beautiful gathering sight

    #7 --The Act--
    A puzzled mind
    of uncoded ciphers
    my unfolding thoughts
    distraught and untold

    A frazzled psyche
    a treasure-trove of kindled thoughts
my own being seeking its depths
words will not describe my thoughts, which leek from my eyes

    Astonished, amused, fret
a fear of other comings i do not dare
a passion I exclaim; but a glare and a whisper may keep me back
for it is far too complex for my own knowledge to grasp

    In concluding act
I sit and stare, eyes closed
unable to retrieve what my future is to become
and how my act will end and show

Marissa Madsen, poem 5, inspired a line in my #7 poem

    6. Some say the world will end in fire,
    Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
    Is also great
    And would suffice.

    Cody is so rad
in no way is he bad
'cause he's got too much swag.
    His attire is so fresh
    he always wears the best
    even though he's white
    his outfit is pretty tight.
I try with all my might
    it is a daily fight
    to be as swagalisheous as
    Cody.

    14
    Ashton is too cool
    he is not a fool
his art skills make me drool
    his hair always looks great
    I've come to appreciate
    the spectacular
    Mr. Ashton.

    15
You cannot force upon the mind
    the ability to write
    to push out creative magnificence
    becomes a constant fight.

I try slapping both my knees
but my brain just wont unfreeze
    you can almost guarantee
    there is no poet in
    me.

    I am not a wordsmith
nor clever am I words with
or using these rhymes that kind of get a little bit out of time
you see I have no rhythm
I don’t know what rhymes with that word
this poem is kind of absurd
    soooo… the end.

    17
    you must think I’m wretched
    wicked
    discusting
but I swear there is a monster
he only comes out at night
to haunt my dreams and my life
if you knew half of it you’d be trembling
so I keep this secret to myself
that I might not bring back your
    Monsters.
(Inspired by the song “Monsters” written and performed by Megosh)

    18
    I will not go
    I love you too much
    I couldn’t stand myself if I did
    I am not leaving
I will not vanish from your life
even if we lost what we once had
nothing can tear me from your presence
    I love you too much
    I am not leaving,
    I will not leave
Unless we can make it to our destination
    Don’t let me fall away
    I’ve got your back
    Stay with me
    Don’t wreck me
    Don’t rip me apart
Apart from what I love most
    Give me another
    Chance…
(Inspired by the song “2 Chord” written and performed by Sleeping With Sirens)

    19
(this one is for my bro Anthony)

Most days I feel like a stray
But I never even ran away
    I push forward through the
    Pain
    Trails
    Anxiety
    Depression
Sometimes I feel as if I had been thrown away like someones unfinished meal
Sometimes I feel as if I have no one that I can turn to for
    Comfort
    Peace
    Relief
But I know that I have
    Friends
    Family
I have a God that loves me and will listen to
    Anything and
    Everything
    That I have to say
So that most days I can find love in my Savior
My Savior who in his ultimate love payed for
    My sins
    I know my Savior loves
    Me.

    20
    I have my reasons
    I have my secrets
    I have my stories
that i don’t want you to know
sometimes you don’t need to understand
sometimes you don’t need to know
the parts of me that I hate
the parts of me that I need to forget
you don’t need that to love me fully
    look past my mistakes
    and I will look past
    yours.

    Poem week #3
    April/15/15 10:28am

    1.)Gold fish
    Little fish, splash, splash.
    Can you dance, clap, clap.
    Little fish, splash, splash.
    Can you laugh, ha, ha.
    little fish, splish, splish.
    can you sing, bubble, bubble.
    little fish, splish, splish.
    Can you dream, blink, blink.
Little gold fish of my dreams!

    2.) The Wondrous dream
Hatting a hatter, didn't quite matter as much as fitting the queen.
A cup of tea seemed like the simplest thing, but now I know it's like the craziest of dreams.
sitting alone I found that living alone was a saddening affair at the least.
smoking from the gob causes quite a sob as the smoke choked the life from the addicted little mob.
And though the flowers smelled nice and their beauty times twice their vice will surely rake and spray you dull.
When the time rocks and the clocks stop the rabbit will fall down his hole, that's what I'm told.
This time was fun, but I've got to run before my head is lost to the shock of times of new and times of old.
What a wondrous dream for the dead and cold.

    3.) Books
    Books are gateways
    Books on Sunday
books are friends that are always on hold.
    books are knowledge
    books in college
Books are filled to the brim with wonders untold.
    Books are stories
    Books on Sony
    books always fill the mold
Books are the stories of the hart
books are truly a piece of art
Books are love from the start
Thank you books, thank you for playing your part.

    4.)A sleep
Sleepy eyes, awaking tides, and sweetly sang lullabies fight for consciousness to hold.
Slipping hands, gravitational demands and the pressure is coxing me to let go.
I'm Falling mate, into a dream like state, I'm so tired and I'm falling in to the slow mo.
Down I go to the ground you know, but never to land on the ground below.
Slowly falling, Some ones calling, and a hand reaches down from above and tells me to never let go.
Wings are spread, tears are shed, hope is far from dead.
The stranger said, "The Comma will be no more."

    5.) Purple plum.
    Spinning around in circles
    skipping around in purple
    dancing like a fairy
    little toes moving merrily
    happy faces laughing
    shady shadows casting
    little children watching
as they do the sugarplum dance.

  18. 1. After such a stark failure
I was keen on giving up
Just leave the room and take what’s due
Cry and find a wall to punch
    But pale-faced and determined
I stepped back onto the line
And was immediately confronted by him
    The chief, saying, “It’s alright.”
    So with my renewed vigor
By my purpose immune to pain
    I hit the center target
So all was not a waste

    2. Rogue and reckless
    By my creed
    I call this want
    Like it’s a need
    The road to success
    Is paved with heart
    And the heavy price
    Is paid in sweat

    3. Fueled by your heart’s desire
Your head has turned into a fire
The wants of your spirit intoxicate
The way that you live your everyday

    4. This is all about control
    Keep your focus whole
As long as you have your wits
You can overcome all of this
And as long as you keep your head
Half the victory is in your hand

    5. Born from blood
    Alive from the past
    Terrifying
    To the last
    The killing machines
    That ought not now exist
    Who thought this was good?
    Whose idea was this?
    Well now you, good doctor
    Have the idiot’s mark
    For ever creating
    This Jurassic Park!!

    6. I'm all out of ideas
You can tell by my work
It's so far from my style
    That it almost hurts
But oh well, that's just life
    Nothing quite goes to plan
    And the horrible writer's block
Always, always comes back once again

    7. Opportunity is calling
And it only knocks but once
Be ready to take the spring
Get ready to face the jump

    7 Acrostic poetry
Possibly the most expressive way of writing, and the
    Only way to
    Express myself fully.
    Totally awesome and cool,
    Really amazing and excellent,
Yes, I will continue writing poetry forever.

A while ago I wrote my own poetry book. I love some of my poems so much that I decided to copy and paste some on the ends of my super posts so you guys could read them.
    a. How I Wake Up

    I push away the sleepiness
    and shake away the dreaminess
    to leap out of bed!
    And prance down the stairs,
    to valiantly eat,
    my hearty breakfast.
    then I jump,
    back up the stairs.
I look at the dark sky,
    and sigh,
    then lay on my bed,
    and fall back asleep.

    b. My little rock

    I had a little rock
as round as it could be.
    All my friends adore it,
    but it belongs to me.

    I wanted to sleep under
    all the stars at night.
    I took my little rock,
and walked to a great height.

I found out late that night,
that my rock doesn’t like hills.
    It decided to leave me,
and roll off to the mills.

    I hurried after it,
    rushing over land.
    Sadly, I was too late,
and now my rock is sand.

    I eat and I eat,
    This goodness is mine!

    I reach out my hand,
    I cannot resist,
    There’s only one left!
    My eyes start to mist,

    “Oh why must it end!?”
    I wail in dismay,
    I mourn for the loss,
    I run far away,

    I run on and on,
Till my heart it is broken,
    I realize at last,
    I forgot one small token,

    I slowly return,
    With shame and with fear,
    I approach the small box,
And I shed one last tear,

    And then joy of joys!
    Behold the last gem,
    I put forth my hand,
    I seize it, and then…

    It melts in my mouth,
    I taste of its flavor,
    My heart is now healed,
    I relish and savor.

    5. Poetry

Poetry is tiresome, so tedious, so humdrum,
I’d rather be doing something that’s wonderful and winsome,
Don’t get me wrong I love the stuff; it really is quite grand,
Poetry is wonderful… in someone else’s time and hand.

    6.A busy life

    My time is gone,
    My time is spent,
I don’t know what to do!

    My busy life,
    Is full of strife,
It feels just like a zoo,

    I need more time,
    To reach my goals,
    Intelligence pursue,

    Yet you would see
    If given me,
I’d fill up that time too.

    7.Sunset

Blood, sweat, and tears come down to these three minutes,
but its all worth it because we are going to be breaking our own limits.
The curtain upend and we all stay still,
the cheer of the crowed runs down our back with a chill.
The music starts, we're in first position,

I love Edward Lear! these are from memory

There was an old man with a beard
Who said "It is just as I feared! Two owls, a wren, four larks, and a hen
have all made thier nests in my beard

There was a young lady of Kew
Whose virtues and vices were few
With blameable haste, she devoured some hot paste,
Which destroyed that young person of Kew.

There was a young person whose nose,
    Continually prospers and grows.
When it grew out of sight, she exclaimed in a fright
"Oh! Farewell to the end of my nose"

    AND MORE...

    From my little brother:

There is a young person of Rose,
    Who does whatever she knows.
When the people say "that" she replies like a rat,
That disturbing young lady of Rose.

I really like number 6! It was descriptive and great. I personally love butterflies, but my sister is so deathly afraid of them that one time she got injured from her surprisedness (I totally just made that word up) of seeing one! She was sort of run/walking down a mountain trail in Layton (where my grandparents used to live) and she saw a butterfly and she tripped and happened to cut her knee on a piece of sharp metal sticking out of the ground! :( She came home to us with a really bloody knee. It was really sad! And it was all because of a butterfly! :p

      Anyway, great post! :)

    1. She looks so bright and stunning,
In her dress of black and teal,
    So beautiful and cunning,
    It just doesn't seem real.

The way the light hits her face,
    Makes the moment just right.
    The look of absolute grace,
as her smile lights up the night.

She makes me stutter and stumble,
When I look at her glowing eyes.
To be her choice leaves me humble,
To be one of a hundred guys.

    The night is still young,
    Not much could go wrong,
    She's the only one,
I want with me at prom.

    2. One hour,
    Two hour,
    Three hours more.
I just can't find the good.
    can't find it anymore.

    I pick up the blade,
I run it across my wrist,
    The cold steel feels good.
    How could I ever resist?

    One pain, one pain different,
    Different from its brother.
    How ironic it seems,
To cover up one pain with another.

    The blade runs deep,
    Much deeper than before.
    This time I can't escape...
I collapse and hit the floor.

    3. A dog with a blog,
    Who thinks he's a hog,
    Has a strange job,
    To eat up brown logs.

    What logs does he eat?
    Not ones for a treat.
    He eats what he leaves,
    On grass near his feet.

    The poop in his mouth,
    It isn't half bad,
    But sooner than not,
    He'll surely be dead.

    4. Black or white,
    Big or small,
    God has love,
    A love for us all.

    We need to take,
    That same love,
    And give to others,
    A people as one.

    When faith divides,
    We're in the wrong,
    Good will provide,
    When following God.

    Love unfeigned,
    And God's sweet grace,
    Will always be there,
    No matter what you face.

    5 - I'm losing it.
    My sympathy,
    My empathy,
    Isn't meant to be.
    Why should I try?
    It doesn't make sense,
    Why repent?
    When he isn't there.
    I'm worthless,
    Not even one cent,
    Could pay for my sins,
    So why repent?
    It's hopeless,
    My life in a flash,
    Is too much to bear.
    He doesn't care.
    He isn't there.
    So why repent?
    I'll tell you why.
    He might not,
    Always be there,
    But he does care,
    And he always forgives,
    No matter what your sins.
    Always repent.

    6 - It's always there,
    The rope necklace.
    So tempting to try on,
    It's always there.

    Why can't it end?
    It's too much to hold.
    I'm going nowhere,
    Why can't it end?

    It could fix everything,
    My problems all gone.
    In a quick instant,
    It could fix everything.

    I'm slowly losing sight,
Of my goals and my dreams.
    The necklace is tight,
    I'm slowly losing sight...

    1) General Conference

Oh! How blessed we are to have a prophet speak!
Oh! How joyous sounds to listen for and seek.
What greater is our home above,
Than God’s eternal hopes and love.
Seek not for riches found on earth,
Return to God in a new state of birth.

    2) Ice Cream

    Ice cream

    Milkshakes
    Topping
What flavor comes before the drink?
    Thinking
    Melting
    Tasty
    Freezing
I think my cherries about to sink.

    3)The Train

    Trains water winter plain,
    Skating by the railroads lane.
    Walking into lonesome road,
    Without anyone's passwords go.
    Freaking out, what’s that sound?
    Rushing wind, toot, comes around.
    Square, smoking, long, saying
Hey look! Here comes the train.

    4) Who can find a virtuous woman?

Who can find a virtuous woman,
    Whose countenance shines ever bright,
    Who ponders scriptures daily,
    And receives strength from light?
Who can find a virtuous woman,
Whose price is far above rubies,
And sacrifices what ever she has
To serve in callings and duties?
Who can find a virtuous woman,
    Who maintains her personal purity,
And settles for a temple marriage,
    For time and all eternity?
Who can find a virtuous woman,
Who honors the Lord in humility,
And fights against the evil one,
    Alone, standing tall, fearlessly?

Inspired by President Ezra Taft Benson 1985-95, Ensign, Nov. 1986, 84 “To the Young Women of the Church” from (Young Women’s Personal Progress Booklet) and Proverbs 31:10.

    5) Winter:

White specks falling to the ground,
Cold, yet water, for a child found,
Sitting on the bench so high,
    Waiting for sunlight sky.
Winter takes it days to warm,
For snow to melt in the storm.
Drafts come in few a day,
    Then goes light soon away.

    6) Commonly Confused Words A - D

Adverse to the trials I ask for advice,
Affecting my struggles I then apprise.
But soon it seems I must bear,
    Bizarre blankets that are bare.
Coarse it is to change to climatic
Complaisant I am, but not to climactic.
Discreet I can be on my dad with a duel,
Discrete I may need in a draw or a dual.

    7) Commonly Confused Words Definitions

    Careful not to attract attention,
    To that censure dried currant,
Or to diffuse it over a field
    And inside a watery current.
Counsel is given to protect you good,
To defuse the danger into a desert,
And mix it into anyone's glasses,
Or cause adverse in their dessert.

Now i’m done with these words, for they took a long time to write.

  33. 1) Alive.
I wish I was alive and well,
I think it’s safe to say that we all do.
I wish I was well and whole,
But I’m not, and that’s okay.
I wish you were fine too,
It’s better to say that you’re not,
Hide behind the mask I gave you,
Is that not what gives us life?
Lying and cheating and making a house that’s hollow.
I wish I was alive and fine,
But I’m not, I’m still trying to realize that this life is mine.
    Is it?

    2) Mad Delirium
    Drip drop,
My tears, my fears, my insecurities
    Rolling down my cheek.
    Drip drop drip,
I wish I was fit for this, this madness of a mind.
These decisions I’ve made aren’t mine.
    Drip drop,
I can see my life rolling away,
    Faster than a freight train
    Down the hill of becoming.
Something more has sprouted in me.
    Drip drop drip,
My eyes have started to clear, And now,
I’ve begun to see past the delirium in
    Me.

    3) Timid
    i feel timid,
vivid are the thoughts that i have of what i had.
    i feel rancid,
a drip of a forgotten soul moves past my shattered window.
in the back of my mind I begin to wish i hadn’t started this
    mess.
it’s torn a hole through my soul and it’s only getting deeper.
    i feel timid,
torn, wrecked, crashed, burned, ruined, rancid, disgusting, dripping in
    regret.

    4) A Chord
    The notes are strung so
Perfectly as for you to hear
    What you needed to.

    5) Listen
    Listen,
Don’t hush the fears of the night.
    Listen,
To the voice that says, “You’ll be alright.”
    Listen,
You’re not the only one, so put your faith in those around you,
Don’t give in to the cave-in mountain of stress, pain, sorrow, and grief.
    Listen,
Let it grow inside of you like a seed.
    Listen,
    It’s your belief.

    6) Hush
    Hush now,
The baby’s sleeping, your footsteps will awake him.
    Hush now,
    quietly,
    quickly,
    Is how you trod,
Hoping, from your babys sleep, he doesn’t nod.
    Hush now,
Down the stairs and to the kitchen,
For a midnight snack, you’ve been itchin.

    7) A Rant.
Drama is so lame. It’s the stupidest thing since rising to fame. I guess people that cause dis kinda junk think that’s what they’re gonna get. Drama is sooo dumb, it really ain’t that fun, and I’d rather move to the nunnery where I can live by myself, I’ll be my own, “hey there hun” You know what I’m sayin? It’s all just kinda annoying, I start to feel like a toy and it’s boring puttin my brakes to the floor kay? kay. It’s all just one big mess that gets you stressed, and you can’t find relief to satisfy your belief of good things. And people always say, “oh you’ll be fine.” But, you don’t really know that because you ain’t me… I don’t know where I’m going with this, maybe I’m just trying to rant, get these things of my chest that make feel dank, stank, and damp. I’m done.

    The pain isn't mine
    the pain from beneath
    the pain of the world
    dragging me underneath

    The pain is decietful
    it burries me
    it's painful
    I feel alone.

    2
Why do I feel like I need to cry when I don't actually have a reason?
Why do I want to ball until my eyes hurt?
Or scream until my voice echoes through this unexplainable void.
I am tired of feeling so empty when I know I shouldn't.
Why do I feel alone in a room full of friends?
These emotions are making me feel as if I am being thrown into pit of never-ending darkness and the only way to escape is to drown myself in an ocean of tears.
Everything around me seems dismal and fake.
Everyone around me seems distant and strange.
Every choice I make that seems right only furthers the distance between myself and everyone around me.

But wait. Is that light that I see?
Is that a whisper of hope that I hear?
    The Lord is always near.
He knows my pain and he feels what I feel.
The choices I make can bring me closer to him.
When no one else is there He will always stay.
Christ will show me the truth when I don't know what to do.
He will be my Anchor, and He'll guide me through the mist of the world.

    3
    The world can be
    boastful,
    disrespectful,
    fearful,
    hurtful,
    neglectful,
    prideful,
    revengeful,
    scornful,
    sinful,
    unfaithful,
    wasteful.

But the world can also be
    beautiful,
    delightful,
    faithful,
    helpful,
    insightful,
    merciful,
    playful,
    peaceful,
    resourceful,
    thoughtful,
    Wonderful.

    4
As I arrived at a fork in the road
    I met a man.
He told me of a beautiful destination
where I would find the treasure
that I had been so earnestly searching for.
As long as I stayed on the
    right path, he said,
I would arrive at my desired station
    a better person than before.

    A journey so long,
    so diverse,
    so Significant.

    The man said,
If I would but press forward,
    and follow the
    slender and unbroken road
I would have the companionship of a spirit.

The path may get challenging and
    There might seem to be
an easier way to achieve your goal,
but if you trust the Path
    you can obtain your treasure.

There will be cliffs, canyons, caves,
    and much more.
You will pass through forests of green and mountains of white,
There'll be times of doubt and scarcity,
    Lonely thoughts of despair,
    but every step you take
is one step closer to triumph.

It'll be worth all the pain,
The light that comes only after the rain.
The satisfaction and joy triumph the adversity.
    You'll see.

    Now we begin.
    Now you are set free,
    and now you must embark
    on your glorified journey.

    5
I wish I didn't have this bitterness inside of me
It damns my progression and happiness
What happened is past and it doesn't have to continue to effect me
I don't really know why it does
If it would just go away I could be free
    Freedom
    Nothing tying me down
    Nothing holding me back
    Back from my full potential

    6
The power of love is a curious thing.
Makes one man weep, makes another man sing.

Just a small town girl livin in a lonely world.
She took the midnight train goin anywhere.

She loves to laugh, she loves to sing.
    She does everything.

    I'm 15 for a moment.
Caught in between 10 and 20 and I'm just dreaming; counting the ways to where you are.

I walk along the city streets you used to walk along with me
and every step I take reminds me of just how it used to be.

I remember when rock was young.
Me and Suzy had so much fun.

You're a real tough cookie with a long history
of breaking little hearts like the one in me.

These songs are all number one!

    7
    Suddenly awake
    Afraid
    Confused
    Frightened
    Abused
    Taken away
    Only one thing to lose
    All hopes quickly decay
    Wandering hands steal
the only thing she has to conceal
only one thing keeps her stable
she's trying to hold on to the one thing she knows is real
trying so hard to remain faithful
    the end finally takes her
She's once again wrapped in the arms
Of her true and loving Savior.

    Week 3

    1. Scritch, Scratch, Scratch
I sketch a castle big and tall
    Scrape, Swish, Swoosh
    Add a sparkling blue sea
    Crinkle, Crackle, Rub
    Erase here and there
    Scritch, Swoosh, Scratch
    Into my sketch I go
    There but also here

    2. I close my eyes
    Away into another world
    Light blue skies
    The clouds swirled
    A beach of pink sands
    Purple ocean, green waves
    Behind me is orange land
    Yellow trees, red caves
    Animals we have never seen
    Different colors, sizes and types
    Some glimmer, some in between
    There are spots and stripes
I run around in this dream
    Meeting friends, things to learn
Things are not what they seem
Into the real world I return

    3. The creature is different
I found it in the woods
    Something going on, a hunt
I was looking for some goods
    The creature I named
    Was big and small
    I knew it was blamed
    It was short but tall
    Lavender fur, green paws
A fast as the fastest horse
    Dragon wings, dangerous claws
Hard to control, such a force
I spend my day at its side
    Will have to say goodbye
    Right now though I’ll ride
    Forever under the blue sky

    4. Secret forest beneath the rain
    Quiet peace of nature spring
Full of more than I know
Behold how winter snow make fresh
Flower blossom from earth and grass
    Our deep sweet spirit song
Cloud of our soul and love
    Always bright sun above

    5. Her dress was as blue as the blue, blue sky
Her smile as bright as the burning sun
Her jacket as white as the clouds that fly
Standing in a field of her green garden
Her eyes sparkle as the diamond stars above
Her hair as dark as the darkest night
    As dangerous as a scorpion
    As sweet as light

    6. I am here but gone
World of my dreams and yet not
    I am brave but scared
Standing by myself alone a lot
Alone in my corner but in a crowd
    Feeling either lost or caught
    I am quiet but loud
    Never know my real thought
I will stand for what is right
I could flee but I fought
I am not a teacher yet I am
Teach what needs to be taught
Learn what needs to be bought
This is not all for naught

    7.The Stowaway

    There was that one day
It didn’t really go my way
Nor did it stay that way it stay
I didn’t really want to disobey
Just wanted to see into the passageway
    Then I found the stowaway
    Apparently I found his hideaway
He said he was from faraway
And came here for a holiday
I asked if he was a runaway
He looked at me in dismay
Like to him I did betray
I told him I would go away
Said I’ll be back on Friday
    That day was yesterday
    I returned to the doorway
    Found his room in disarray
I guess he had to getaway
    I will return everyday
In hope to find the stowaway

  45. 13. Yes! I'm !6

    I'm so glad I'm finally !6.
There are so many things I can do.
I can drive, I can date, man, there's not much to hate,
There's no reason to be blue.

    14. Rescheduling.

Rescheduling, Rescheduling, the worst of all the things.
You try to go on a double date, but find that you are changing your plans, because your friend decided to not ask his date until the last second, and found out that she was not sixteen.
The unexpected turn of events is really quite tiring.

    15. Vilification

It's funny how we vilify the other side.
We blame them for our problems, so that we can hide.
Republicans blame Democrats, and the reverse is true.
Time to pause and question: Is this happening to you?
Vilification doesn't only happen in political debates.
Sports games are full of it. They're often full of hate.
We shouldn't see others as objects even when in rage.
I guess it's just a part of our AMERICAN HERITAGE.

    16. Music.

    Music,
    It fills my soul.
    It uplifts.
    It inspires.
    It motivates.
    It invigorates.
    It calms.
    It testifies.

    17. Don't stop, just yield.

Most stop signs should be yield signs.
To understand this statement better let's look at the science.
When people can see for miles in every direction,
Why should they stop if there road is clear?
Some things on roads are necessary, such as lines.
Some rules, if broken, should take away your license.
Many stop signs however, offer no protection,
So why should a car stop, when no other cars are near?

    18. A summary of my day.

Woefully Waking to a Wonderful World,
    Eagerly Eating,
    Purposefully Planning,
    Bad at Bowling,
    Willfully Walking,
    Densely Dancing,
    Rambunctiously Reuniting,
    Simply Sleeping.

    19. The last minute.

It's hard to do things last minute.
    It actually takes some skill.
    I have become a fully trained master;
I always have time to kill.

Fall- When the sweetness of the summer comes to any end
And the bitterness of the cool crisp air comes in
When the bright colors begin to fade
And the brilliant oranges, yellows and reds take over when great definition

    3.
Winter- The colors have completely faded
The white from the clouds in the sky cover the earth
The time to stay in- be close with the ones you love
Share happiness with the world in the joys of the season

    4.
Spring- The colors swiftly sweep back in
They never went away- just hid for a while
The sweetness in the air gently settles in and stays
It won't be long before we will begin the summer days

    5.
Summer- the colors all too bright, almost too bright to see
Children at play and smiles appear on every single face
The worries of school replaced with the thoughts of vacation and sleep
The colors are bright for a short time, but must once again soon start to fade..

    6.
Water- one of the things I love so much
It keeps me clean- which keeps my happy
It gets me attention and love when I cry
It gives my body strength and health
    It washes my sins away

    7.
Sometimes when I feel alone I don't know where to turn
    I'm desperate. I'm weak. I'm delicate.
Does anybody understand how I feel?
Then I fall to my knees- that always seems to be the last resort
but it fulfills my needs every time.
I don't feel desperate, weak or delicate.
I feel love, and I know I'm not alone.

    13- I wish I could sing
Then maybe I could sell my voice for ring
Or some other sort of bling

    I wish I had a possum
So I could be really awesome
    But I wouldn’t smell like a blossom

    I wish I had a pear
Then I could eat it in my lair
I’ll try not to get it in my hair

    I wish I had a car
I would drive it extremely far
    But not to any bars

    I wish I had a dog
So I could hide it in a log
I would buy it a pet frog

    14-
    Once upon a time
    There was a marshmallow
She fled on feet as heavy as limes
She hid herself in a log – it was hollow

    Her hunter attacked
He hit her with his sword as well as smacked
    Her down the ravine
    Where there was a stream

The warrior chased after the dueling pair
Down the ravine and across the stream she flew
    To the evil villain’s lair
    And her courage grew

    The Author watched in anticipation
    What a proclamation
She would be a name in every household
She would have loads of gold
    The marshmallow cried
The fire underneath her was hot
    The hunter sighed
She called for help , a smore she would be if not

    The warrior charged headlong
As she ran she sang a song
    It was about ice cream
About ice cream she did scream

The author watched the clash of swords
    The deed was done
    She wrote the words
    And watched the sun

The marshmallow was no longer doomed
The hunter fled to a store filled with looms
    The warrior rewarded herself well
The author wrote a story she thought quite swell

    The End

15- They are round and soft and gooey inside
They make me want to take a ride
    They are made cows
    And are filled with wows
    The smell is calling
    The meatballs are falling
They roll around my plate you see
They are good with sauce and noodles for me

    16- He is tired
    He is sleepy
    He is weepy
His lazing is to be admired

    He is doing nothing
    He sits
    His face covered in zits
    From his junk food eating

    He really likes his Xbox
He plays it all day long
He starts each level with a bong
He refuses to change his sox

    17- Probably overated
    Really? Well maybe not
Oh my gosh we are weird
    My prom night was great
    18- Roxanne is my camera
    She is a dear
    I love her so
    She takes such beautiful photographs
    And has multiple lenses
    I love my Roxanne

    19- I am writing a poem
    Or maybe it’s a sonnet
    What about a haiku?
I really don’t know what to do.
I’ll add in a rhyme there?
    Does that even go?
    Does low rhyme with go?
    I’ll make up some words
Maybe that will make it right…

    1. McKenzie!!! This was hilarious. Thank you for the laughs. They are really good and I love all of them. Good job on the poems. I loved you last one but they were all so good (and random, and a little odd, but hey what is the fun without it being odd?) and your story about the marshmallow was so funny. Again, thank you and I love it!!!

How I long to see the ships,
That sail out on the sea.
I want to see the stars that shine,
As across the sky they flee.

    Somewhere in the forest,
I want to see a bear,
    Instead of sitting here,
    Deciding what to wear.

    Way out in the desert,
    A camel waits for me,
    To ride across the dunes,
And find a tall palm tree.

I love to see the planes ,
    That fly across the sky.
I wish that I could fly as well,
    Above the trees so high.

I feel I need to take a trip,
And see the wonders of the world.
    My wanderlust is great,
    My adventure is yet unfurled.

    Even more so,
    Than a brand new toy.

    4.

The salty breeze blows my hair
    I watch from the docks.

    5.
How joyous is the sun today,
I wish that I could be,
As wonderful and bright as it,
    For all eternity.

    6.
    Poor little Trembly,
    Five years ago his pants,
Fell down in front of the assembly,
And his face is still red.

    7.
    When the day is done,
    I lie in bed,
    Reflect on the day,
Like a movie in my head.

    I suddenly remember,
    What I meant to do,
What I put off till later,
I had to do it, I knew.

    This thing was important,
    I couldn't leave it be,
Oh why did I do this?
    What's wrong with me?

    Procrastination.
    Everyone does it.
But why do we do this?
Why put it off a bit?

    There's a simple fix,
    No one seems to see,
It could solve this big problem,
If you'll just listen to me.

    When you get your assignments,
    Don't put them way off,
Do them right then and there,
Don't you dare give a scoff.

    I promise it'll work,
    Each and every single time.
I know cause I've done it,
    You'll feel so sublime.

    you feel pointless,
    hopeless,
    sad,

    you feel important,
    blessed,
    happy,
    inspired,
    open,
    relaxed,
and hope they don't leave your side.

    not even hired,
I wish I could be inspired,
    or have something required,
    something that could be admired,
    but I'm just tired.

7: Wow I feel like my poems are cheesy,

    nor breezy,
    kind of sleazy,
at least it doesn't make me queasy.

    why cant i just rest?
    This is not the best,

    not mean,
    but green.

    1. Happy birthday, dear Mom!
Sometimes I want to write songs
about how much I love you.
Alas, I never seem to pull through...
    Your'e loving and crafty,
and with your friends, well, you are a Chatty Cathy.
I know you will always love me,
and now I make this plea.
    Have a VERY happy birthday!
    Love, Me

    2. SPRING
Snow fleets from my mind, and I'm
Packing up and string the winter decorations.
Running and jumping through the new blades of grass and then stopping and watching.
Incing forward are the new blossoms and buds of the trees and the peas.
Nothing can beat that feeling of green, and rain, and life.
Gathering seedlings, and wanting to sing, I plant and play with my family.

    3. Loving myself may sound narcissistic,
but believing in myself makes me more artistic.
Because of my confidence, some think I'm hyper and ballistic,
But I'm just happy and optimistic! :)

    4. As spring approaches I store my boots
At night I start to hear owl's hoots
In the tulip beds, I start to see shoots.
And in the garden grow hidden roots.

    5. My love for animals is unheard of
Puppies, chicks, or lizards I bond with.
I enjoy the chirps of birds much more than the squeaks of mice,
    But I appreciate God's creations.
My love of animals exceeds even my expectations.

    6. A hug is the only thing he wants of me
But I don't trust him and I want to flee
Into the shadows of my broken heart
Where he made the shattering start.
I look back to the laughs we once shared
And I start to wonder if he ever cared
About me and my feelings and my personality
But that's when I wake up to the grim reality.

    7. Somewhere far away from me
Is a place I would rather be.
All the people I could see.
And other times I would spend my time with my friends three.
We would sit in a cottage and sip our tea
Making silly stories and wild decrees.
But then to reality we must flee.

    1. Following along never wondering why.
Never asking where we are going,
Or what we are even doing.
    Believing in the wrong people
    Becoming obedient sheeple.
As we all wonder onto sandy grounds,
    With restrictive bounds.

    2. We hear but never listen.
We look but don’t know what’s missin’.
Placing our trust in the words,
    Ignoring the hovering birds.
    Look up from your toes,
    That’s why nobody knows.

    3. Stop staring at the dirt beneath your feet,
Move your eyes once and while,
    Maybe we’ll meet.
We might look up to the sky,
    Finding the hope to fly.
Flying above the clouds even the sun.
Because I know when we look around,
We can hit a home run.

    4. Slipping down a slippery slope,
I’ve begun to lose all my hope.
As I slip and slide I remember all the good times,
    The hardships and the victories.
    Was it all for nothing?
No! It could never be so.
    Reaching, stretching grasping for anything.
But it seems everything is vanishing.

    5. Cranking up the tunes,

Lying on the cold wood dock.
Getting lost in the milky night sky.
Not even caring about the clock.
Thinking of the eons that have passed,
    And have yet to come.
Feeling so small but yet so vast.

    6. The crunch under my feet,
Stepping on the fresh snow sheet.
The frost bit air running through my hair.
That feeling I can hardly bear.
Squinting my eyes, as the snow flies.
I think I’m ready for summer,
    That’s a bummer.

    7. Looking to make a difference.
    Hoping to make a change.
I have my heart in the future,
And my mind on the same old page.
I’m doing my best to move on.
But my past keeps me withdrawn.
It’s time to break free of the old,
    And chase the promising new.

  60. KyAnne D. Period 1
    Week 3

    1. (inspired by magnetic poetry)
Blue birds wander under a blanket of clouds.
The moon peeps through with a wink
A river blossoms up right out of the ground,
the blue birds bend to take a drink.

They climb up and up into the cool night air,
their wings flapping to a sound beat,
the moon shines down on their blue bird chests,
making them look smooth and sleek.

Each bird is a symbol of happiness,
their color a reminder of the sky,
each reminding you that if you try hard,
you might, like them, be able to fly.

    2. I am a poet,
and no, I won’t say “know it”
    I’m not that cheesy yo!
    And besides, I do know.

    3. “I can’t”
    Guilt,
    regret,
I wish I could change what happened.
    But,
    I can’t.
I can’t change what I’ve said or done.
    I can’t change the mistakes I made.
I wish so much that I could,
    but I can’t.
    I
    Can’t.
No matter how hard I try to change my past,
it’s stuck the way it’s always been.
I’m sorry if I hurt you, I know I did,
    but I can’t change it.
    I can’t.
    I’ve said stupid things,
    I’ve hurt so many people,
    I’ve hurt you,
    I’ve hurt myself.
    And,
    I'm so sorry.
    Guilt,
    disgust.
    Self loathing.
    Why did I do it?
How could I be so oblivious?
    I'm not perfect.
    No
    One
    Is perfect.
    Except...
    one.
    He is perfect,
But he still died for our sins.
He paid a price that none of us could,
    So we can live again.
    Guilt,
    Regret,
It Can all be washed away.
    No,
    I can't.
    I
    Can't.
    But he can.

    4. Heavy eyes
    feel like lead,
    Can I please
    Go to bed?

    Aching head,
    Swollen throat,
    I'm shivering
    I need a coat.

    I'm so cold,
    And tired too,
    I may have strep,
    Or is this the flue?

    Go to bed,
    Get a drink,
    My head's so tired
    I can't think.

    5. I'm pretty.
Why should I cover my face with makeup?
    I'm beautiful.
Why should I try to be who I'm not?
    I'm short,
But why should I try to be taller with high heels?
    I'm smart,
But why is beauty more important?
    I'm not perfect,
So why are our standards based on perfections?
    You're you.
So don't try to change that.

    6. It seems as though she can fly,
    gliding smoothly over the sky.
    she smiles a gentle smile,
    calmly watching all the while.

    Her royal robes of pearl
seem to shimmer and to swirl.
    Her glistening crown of stars
    lies forever, near and far.

    She comforts through the night,
with her dim, yet regal light,
sometimes she is gone but you know,
that her shining face she’ll show.

(can you guess what she is?)

    7. young, bright, brisk and clear,
    the morning comes at last.
He scampers all around with cheer,
he comes, he stays, he’s past.

    1. Fear

Fear drives us as a people.
Fear drives us, to soar like an eagle.
Fear pushes us, to ask that cute girl or boy to a dance.
Fear pushes us, to use words to make a stance.
Fear nudges us, to become better people.
Fear touches us, to fly like a seagull.
So don’t fear fear; let it launch you to the sky.
Fear will be feared no more, if you give it a try.

    2. Courage

All it takes is some 30 seconds,
For you to have some insane courage.
But a true hero’s courage never wavers.
    It’s there when you fall.
It’s there when you’re the victor.

    3. Never Ever Would The Weather…

    Never ever would the weather,
It rained all night; I’m chained by a tether.
    Can’t go out all night.
    Can’t go out all day.
I really, really wish this weather would go away.

    4. Dreams

Dreams seem so fleeting, until they’ve been lived.
    We take dreams for granted,
    Before they’ve been acted.
The true excitement lies in the wait, not the journey.
But the journey is when we are learning, and being nerdy.

    5. Satisfied

    What truly makes us satisfied?
Is it our family? What if they die?
Is it the food we eat, or the people we meet?
Or is it when gravity is tried to be defied?
It’s definitely not when a challenge is shied.
Or when we try to always hide.
It is being content, with whatever is meant
to happen, today and tomorrow, and forever.
But trying our best to be happy, and clever.

    6. What I really think

I think sometimes, we read too much between the lines.
We create fantasies, where we are the victims.
“Bobby thinks I’m fat, and Sabrina thinks I’m too clean”
You think as they watch you across the gallery.
But maybe they like you; maybe they are having the same thoughts.
Assuming will not help, go over, talk, and connect the dots.
Bobby doesn’t think your fat, he thinks you look fine.
Sabrina doesn’t think you’re too clean, in fact,
Sabrina washes her hands all the time.
So stop reading between the lines, and assuming the worst.
Go find out what they’re really thinking, and you will be the first.

    7. Short and Sweet

    Short and Sweet.
    Here’s a treat.
    Go and live your life,
    To the fullest extent,
That it was meant to be.

  64. 1)The last choice you make
    will it keep you awake
    at night in your bed
    will you beat yourself red
at the end of your days
will you dig your own grave
will you seal your own fate
    with that small simple mistake
that you might make on the day
    you'll quickly decided to say
    my spirits yours
the devil will reply this is the price you will pay
    if you make this mistake
    on this very day
    the decision is yours
    and there is no return
so don't come to me when you burn

    2) The pain of defeat
    lies heavy in my feet
    its truly disappointing to me

    3) we are all the same
    both you and me
    she and he
    her and him
we all go together like a bottle of gin
    we talk the same
    walk the same
    we eat the same
    even sleep the same
    ha
    who am I kidding
    we are all different
    some speak with a slang
    some walk with a sway
    some drool as they eat
    some fight while the sleep
    some forbear
    some flaunt
    some founder
    some flounder
yet God still made us all the same

    4) Like a lion I feel
    after hes eaten his meal
he sleeps and sleeps and sleeps.

    5) this blinking black line
    staring me in the face
    this blinking black line
making me want to scream in UPPERCASE
    instead I refrain
    from such disdain
    and decide to write civil

    6) repeat, repeat, re, rep
    i'm st-u-u-u-ck-k-k in this motion
    of re-e-e-petition
    i'm scratched
    i'm wa-a-ack-e-ed

    7) Doors to everything
    cupboards
    closets
    houses
    drawers
its peaked my interest just a little bit more
    small doors
    big doors
    all the more to explore

To keep its weaknesses at bay.

    You see, the foundation was there;

    The walls were the key.

    They’d faced so much storm,

    Out alone at the sea.

    The ship had drifted,

    the captain had bailed.

There was no time for that one final sail.

All wondered where this ship had gone,

But the ship had tired of waiting for dawn.

The end of the storm, the ship would never see.

I should know; that ship, was me.

    6. Dawn
    Light and dark

    cool and crisp

mist flows down my cold stone steps.

    night creeps away

    slinking into shadows

    light crawls in

    reluctant to invade

sun kisses the house, and trees

    rays sneak into the leaves

    trills start, and bird flutter

the mist rises slowly, creeping up like a curtain

    day has arrived!

    1. Standing Under The Light
    Standing under the light
    as the cold wind blows.
    Standing under the light
    as temptation grows.
    Standing under the light
    when night time comes.
    Standing under the light
    if I leave
    Standing under the light
    to the dark and shallow
    Standing under the light
I will fall to the deepened hallow
    Standing under the light

    1) PANDA
    P-udgy little guys,
    A-nd mildly ferocious,
    N-ever try and lick one,
    D-on’t feed them meat,
    A-nd certainly don’t slap one.

    2) Cinnamon Jim
There was once a man named
    Cinnamon Jim,
    He ate too much candy,
    Never entered a gym,
    His fate was grim.

    3) Windstorm
    Snap, crunch, split,
    Branches falling,
    Bows bending,
    Earsplitting, Nature’s roar.

    4) Ballad
We all hide the demons within,
Under furrowed brows, and faulty grins,
    All withholding ravenous sins,
    One lie ends, another begins.

    5) End
You will have little time to mourn,
    Your end has been forsworn,
    Every beginning has an end,
    There’s no need to pretend,
    Some souls are marked,
    The reaper has embarked.

    6) Life
    Make it Worthwhile
    Make it Memorable
    Make it Full
    Make it Yours.

    7) Faulty Logic
The world does not revolve around you,
All of us have problems too,
Some of us carry faulty logic,
    Which is truly idiotic.

    It is not real,
But I find my self there,

And that is how i know it is not real

    Thank you to the movie
For letting us escape or daily troubles
    Letting us become a character.
    Following someone's life,
That appears better then our own.
Going to movies allows a vacation for the mind.
Providing a place where enjoyment is had.
Movies do provide suspense and scare,
We know they are not real, and that it all will work out.
That is the fun of movies, is it is not real.
some movies provide stress for people,
the movies is over, your worries end.

    4.Everyone needs a vacation,
    Vacations are not always achievable.

7.Like a humming bird finding its food
Like a lion hunting its prey
Lives off the nectar of life from others.
hated by all it come to.
    Seeks life off others,
    While other seek its life.
Slips under the eye and into the vein,
    Plunging into its victim.
No mercy or sympathy, just needle
    Used to penetrate into animals.
Can not relax for it is always hunted,
It is the hunter and the prey.
